You do not need a perfect file to start a conversation about your property claim. A few clear records can help explain what happened, what the insurer has decided, and what still concerns you.
Under Paid Claim LLC offers a free property inspection and claim review for homeowners and commercial property owners in McAllen, Edinburg, Mission and the Rio Grande Valley. Start with what you have. Our initial website form asks for your city or ZIP code and a short description; it does not require document uploads.
Start with the concern
Write two or three sentences about the question you want answered. For example:
- “The estimate does not appear to include damage to the exterior equipment.”
- “The repair estimate and the insurance estimate include different work.”
- “The insurer denied part of the claim, and I need help understanding its explanation.”
- “I supplied the requested records and am waiting for a response.”
Include the claim number and relevant dates in your own records. You can discuss how to share documents with our team after the initial inquiry.
Keep the policy and the insurer’s records together
Useful records include your policy, declarations page, endorsements, insurer estimate, payment summaries and written claim decisions. Keep earlier versions of estimates as well as the most recent version so changes can be compared.
An estimate and a payment serve different purposes. The estimate describes the work and costs included in the insurer’s assessment. The payment may also reflect a deductible, depreciation, coverage limits or other policy terms. A difference between a contractor’s quote and an insurance payment deserves review; the difference alone does not establish that more is owed.

Organize photographs by location
Keep the original image files when available. Group them by the part of the property they show: roof, exterior, equipment, interior rooms or another clearly named area. Include wider views alongside close-ups so the location of a detail can be understood.
Do not alter damage photographs to make a condition look stronger. If you add arrows or notes to a working copy, keep the original too. Before-and-after photographs can help explain changes when both are available.
Save estimates, invoices and a short timeline
Keep repair estimates, invoices, receipts and relevant inspection reports together. Note who prepared each document and when. A simple timeline might list when the loss was noticed, when it was reported, inspections, document requests, responses and payments.
The Texas Department of Insurance recommends retaining claim documents and notes of communications with the insurer. Its claim tips provide additional guidance.
What our review can do
We look at the available policy information, property documentation, estimates and claim communications to discuss whether public adjusting fits your concern. If you retain us through a written agreement, the proposed work may include further documentation, claim preparation and communication with the insurer.
Our only fee is 10% of new money received. There is no fee on prior payments and no additional expenses. If no new money is received, no fee is due. Read our process and fees before choosing representation.

Reviewing a claim or sending an inquiry does not change policy or legal deadlines. Coverage, payment and timing depend on the policy and claim circumstances. Public-adjusting representation begins through a written agreement.
